STRANDED

Hi everyone,

We were at the legendary WDR Rockpalast at the end of March for a TV recording. You can watch it here:
https://www1.wdr.de/mediathek/video/sendungen/rockpalast/bikini-beach-rockpalast-festival-2026-clip-bikini-beach-rockpalast-festival-2026-100.html

On the way home, our van broke down. 400 km from home, we had to take a long-distance taxi back, which cost 830 euros, and had to have the van towed back, which also cost a fortune. Then came the final blow: The van can’t be repaired, total engine failure. Now we’re pretty much stuck and need a new van.

We’ve launched the “BIKINI BEACH X STRANDED” campaign with an exclusive song and T-shirt. Anyone who orders the T-shirt automatically gets the song as well.

2025 – THE YEAR GARAGE BROKE

Summer. Sweat. Noise.
The year could be 1991—or maybe it’s right now.

Everything you see was filmed on a 90s camcorder — magnetic tape, humming with static and memories.

This was the festival summer of Bikini Beach — the year we released our album “Cursed.”

Twenty-three festivals. Eight countries.
From concrete stages to mountain valleys.
From a power plant surrounded by giant cooling towers —
to Lugano, a place that felt like the set of a lost James Bond film.

The tape caught it all:
the crowds, the chaos, the laughter,
the nights that never really ended.

With our friends — Baits, Suck, and Magnetic Spacemen —
we turned every stage into noise and neon.

No filters. No retakes.
Just distortion, sweat, and a summer we’ll never rewind.

OX Fanzine
The seventh album isn’t just an exercise in unfiltered optimism but rather offers a deep, introspective look at our post-pandemic world, shaped by chaos and challenges, through a darker lens.
Metal Hammer
Within an event horizon fueled by the energy of B-52s, Ramones, and Motörhead, one powerhouse track follows the next, making 30 minutes fly by in the best possible way.
Betreutes Proggen
The trio embraces authenticity, confronting both the self and an increasingly challenging world head-on. They channel this raw energy into a short but intense album that unleashes with growing enthusiasm. With this bold and unfiltered new facet, Bikini Beach once again make a powerful impact.

CURSED

Voracious caterpillars and beautiful butterflies. Fuzzy riffs and sugar-sweet melodies. Bikini Beach focus on contrasts on their new album. “Cursed” is album number seven by the border crossers from Lake Constance. Singer and guitarist Nils Hagstrom and bassist Lotti Peach live in Constance, while drummer Flip comes from nearby Switzerland.

“Everything has been cursed since 2020,” says the band, explaining the album title. “When we were in the studio for our fifth album “Atoll”, the coronavirus pandemic had just started. This not only completely overshadowed the release and the upcoming tours, but also brought with it a lot of disaster, fear and chaos. Not even two years later, the war broke out in Europe and is still going on. I wonder what other shit is coming our way?”In 2025, Bikini Beach sound gloomier than ever. No wonder, with all the shit going on around us. The lyrics are about very personal problems or anger at the situation as a whole. The planet is going to the dogs, Nazis and populists are celebrating election victories and bombs and cruise missiles are flying in the neighborhood. “We are aware that, on the one hand, we live in a super privileged society, but at the same time we are sometimes simply stunned by current events,” says the band.
